If anyone is going to catch heat, shouldn't it be the student affairs/campus life people?
This times 1,000. D2 Athletic departments generally need to spend their money on scholarships, facilities and operations for their sports programs. That's why you need to get your alumni associations/student affairs folks involved. When ESU went to the Corsicana Bowl this year it was the Alumni Association, foundation and student affairs, working with the athletic department, that set up the tailgates, and made sure there was money to get the band and cheerleaders to Texas.

I know the VSU AD covered the band, cheerleaders, and Red Hots at great expense to the program. Pretty sure he is concerned with the crowd at home games, not so much away in the postseason since the NCAA gets the proceeds...
