Past players, definitely would add Harlon Hill and probably Ronald McKinnon.

Ronald McKinnon was the best LB I had ever seen playing D2. Heck, he is probably in my top 5 of all levels of college football.

I agree. I didn't follow him after college, but I once watched him beat Pitt State all by himself.

Not the best, but I'd say if you are making a list Yancey Thigpen should be honorable mention for WR.

Adam Thielen is playing at a high level, but looking at this list, he has a LONG way to go to be considered to be among the best D2 wide receivers let alone among the best D2 players to ever play in the NFL.

Brandon, it goes without saying, but you left the (HOF) off of Walter Payton. Also, John Randle and Larry Allen are in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

I swear I had them too. I don't know what was up. Especially Larry Allen. I have a photo of his Sonoma State helmet from the HOF on my phone.
