Final NDSU 28 JMU 20. Bison pick off a Dukes pass on the goal line and run out the clock.

Unbelievable run for the Bison. People keep saying that they should move up, but there really isn't a conference for them to go to.

Too far west for the MAC. Too far east for the MWC. Can't see them in CUSA or Sunbelt. Or AAC for that matter.

I don't know why they would move up as an independent. It would be a let down to play so many games on the road. With the possibility of getting into a minor bowl. No, I think they stay put unless the FCS changes the rules so much to get rid of them.

Back around 1999 or so, the NCC had a meeting to go up to FCS as a conference. It looked like they had the votes. UND, NDSU, USD, SDSU, UNC, ONO- Overnight, St Cloud changed their mind and Mankato went along with them. Morningside would never go up and Augie didn't want to then either. Too bad, it would have been interesting. The Bison were the first to move up not long after that.

Liberty is also much better suited financially to be an independent FBS team than any others that might be looking to move up
