First they cancelled the basketball season, now the Ivy League has cancelled all winter sports and have delayed spring play. Unlike state colleges the Ivy League schools have deep pocket$.

Here are the 12 D1 schools who have opted out of spring football.

That's strange how only one from the Big Sky Conference chose not to play. I haven't heard of any outbreaks of great(er) proportion in the Sacramento area. It must strictly be a money thing because their conference rivals Cal Davis and Cal Poly SLO aren't on that list. Too bad for the Hornets, they were coming off a really good season (2nd place in a 13 team conference for football).

Too bad that Bama and Ohio State couldn't play instead. But the BIG made their bed when they denied Nebraska their game. Look at the ratings for the Notre Dame- Clemson game. But neither team would want to risk a possible playoff spot either.

Being a South Dakota State fan I wish I could go, but Covid is spiking again and I enjoy life too much to risk losing it. So I'll watch it online. Thanks laker

As of yesterday, roughly every 1 in 15 South Dakotans have a reported case of the virus since the beginning of the pandemic, and roughly every 1 in 53 South Dakotans has a reported active case. Those numbers are worse for North Dakota as they have a smaller population.

Minnesota is 1 in 29, and 1 in 163, as of today for the same criteria - assuming my math is correct.

Probably a good idea to avoid the Dakotas, as those numbers only reflect reported cases and not actual ones - which is always going to be higher.

They should invite Augustana since they are going to be D1, and Northern State so the other 5 can all face a tough opponent XD
