It can be an issue, but they've found false positives with these tests. Last week, a Saint had that happen to him Saturday. It turned out to be false. Media typically wants to get info out ASAP, but rarely considers consequence of info that has impacts that are soon reversed.

I remember earlier this year when Nascar driver Jimmie Johnson had a false positive. He missed the only race in his very long career due to that false test. That had to be a bummer, but it beats having the coronavirus and risk spreading it to his crew.

That's it, I'm done with this thread. The bad news keeps coming and will continue to well into 2021. If everyone would just take social distancing seriously. If only...

I am personally more worried about reduced lung capacity than becoming a fatality if I were to catch Covid. College athletes, especially ones destined to be pro prospects should be extremely worried about what covid will do to their lungs if they were to catch the virus.

You might be on to something there; after Ed Orgeron said about 80 of the LSU Tigers already had Covid, it sheds light on their horrible defensive performance this year.

Same here. I've also seen some evidence that it can cause heart conditions (i.e. GSU QB).

A lot of folks think it is a life-or-death mentality. That's not the case for many people take precautions. I doubt I'd have a fatal reaction, but that doesn't mean it won't do permanent damage for the rest of my life. As someone who suffered through some severe asthmatic episodes in my youth, I have some genuine concerns that don't involve me ending up in a box.

I think they should go D2 along with about 20 other schools- actually probably more.
