Are you guys interested in updates on the small offshoot conferences and associations that aren't NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA? I've been keeping an eye on them.
The NWAC is shifting their seasons around. As I understand it, Golf and Cross Country are to begin in the fall under a modified schedule. Volleyball and Soccer move to a February start date, and fall baseball/softball has been cancelled.
So many dominoes have fallen that it's hard to keep up with all the cancellations and postponements, but I think we (all of us who have posted in this thread) are doing a very good job. When I started it I had no idea it would get anywhere near this far (25 pages and counting). 2020 is a year that none of us will ever forget. And by the way, the thread is about all levels of sports. So yes, keep those updates coming. Some of them may seem obscure, but all high school, college and pro sports are inter-related in the big scheme of things.

It went from "my weekend plans to see the Gophers Spring Game have been cancelled" to "all of my plans have been cancelled for the foreseeable future."
I've literally just typed in "college sports" on Google News, set it to search for the previous hour - and I refreshed it every 10-15 minutes. That's how fast a lot of this news is coming in, and I know there's no way we are getting it all. I really think the B1G decision was the catalyst for everything else - even though they weren't the first to make changes.
I may start work on a tracker thread so we can clean up the information that's coming in and bundle it all together - I haven't decided yet. Probably won't happen until next week though.
It seems like a moot point now, but buried in this document somewhere is a revision for Bowl Eligibility. FBS teams are now allowed to count two wins over FCS teams. I believe it's only for 2020.
Not COVID related but I saw this as I was digging. I don't have time to pass it on to the proper board, so I'll put it here. D'Youville College approved for move up to DII (East Coast Conference). They are a non-football school.
Here's a strange one where a fallen domino is back up again. Nascar driver Jimmie Johnson missed the first race of his career last weekend because he tested positive for Covid 19 after his wife had the virus. He tested again three days later and the results were negative. Was it a false positive? Here's the story...
Not clear yet what it means to ATHLETICS, but the largest PSAC, WEST CHESTER UNIVERSITY, has announced that ALL fall classes will be on-line. More details on PSAC.
