And this on top of losing their top rim protector too within recent weeks. I hope things turn around for WVU.

I follow the Mountaineers very closely (it's a family thing) and Oscar Tshiebwe was a bit of a drama queen. He wasn't always that way but people deal with publicity and attention differently and it got the worst of him. He became lazy this season so Coach Huggins cut his minutes. Oscar took it personal instead of working hard like he did last season. From what I hear most WVU fans think his leaving is for the best overall. Huggy Bear doesn't put up with players who don't give 100%. And there were outside influences involved as well. Oscar's going to play for Kentucky and Huggins said he's fine with it. Huggy's an old friend of UK Coach Calipari.

          • Falling Domino Flashback: March 12, 2020, the XFL shuts down due to Covid-19 concerns and basically goes out of business after just 5 weeks worth of games. Then along comes Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and friends on August 2, 2020 and they buy the league for $15 million and vow to bring it back in 2022. I hope so, because I enjoyed the games I saw on TV and they had pretty good attendance.

Thanks, that sounds exactly the opposite of what is happening to Watson in Spokane. His time was cut, then his starting job, then he worked hard and his scoring went up and he's back to starting. It is sad to see young people get lazy like that and not try to improve areas of weakness, but hope Cal can turn him around as he demands a lot out of his players like Huggy Bear.

                  • Montana, Montana State & Portland State will not participate in conference play or the playoffs this spring. They will play a modified schedule.

I just saw that San Jose State women's basketball has called off their season. I thought you would be interested.

Thanks laker. I didn't know that. They're a lot better than our MBB team. Santa Clara County has the toughest Covid-19 regulations that I know of. Those teams have been based in Phoenix, Arizona since the season began. I guess the women had enough and decided to go home. But once you return to San Jose you might not get out again due to those Santa Clara County regulations.

                          • I thought I'd loosen things up for a second during this pandemic with a laugh before more dominoes fall. And today is Betty White's 99th birthday. Kudos to her!

So it really is like in the song Hotel California. "You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave!"

I really think that is what postponed the Santa Clara/Gonzaga game in Spokane. Saint Mary's across the Bay can for example travel just fine as can USF in the WCC.
