The first name that came out for a possible WAC expansion was West Texas T&M. Today, Big Sky member Southern Utah is being mentioned.

Revier to add both men's and women's hockey in 2021-22. They plan on applying to the ACHA for the 2021-22 season and then transition to D3.

That's great. Revier is in the same primary conference with Norwich. Maybe the two will be mates in the New England Hockey Conference.

As of now what D2 schools are moving up to D1 FCS? Any moving down to D2 from FCS?

This is what I know. No one has announced a move either way. New Haven is the only school that has either talked about D1 or done a D1 feasibility study. Hopefully, anyone else who knows something will add to the list.

Add: Eastern Washington is having an assessment done on their athletic budget issues by an outside firm. Moving to D2 is one of the options on the table.

Of all the challenges facing collegiate athletics, I would think conference re-branding would be waaaay down the list !! Or maybe there just isn't much else to do.....

The Capital was gutted with defections and down to three members so they took the ACAA and their eight schools. They will lose three more schools after this year since Pine Manor will be absorbed by BC and two more are leaving so they will be back to eight. Pretty confusing- plus two schools are women's sports only.

No sports since March. I guess they got bored.

Sources: Four of the schools heading to the WAC will do so in all sports effective July 1 of this year. Those are Abilene Christian, Lamar, Sam Houston and Stephen F. Austin, which had been slated to go in 2022. Southern Utah is still slated to join in July of 2022 in all sport

The WAC made the five additions official- also, Chicago State intendes to leave in June of 2022. Hard to say where they will end up- maybe D2, D3 or NAIA.

Also, it sounds like Central Arkansas will be joining the ASUN but that is another story altogether.

I watched the WAC presser online this morning. Good riddance to Chicago State, they've been a drag on the WAC ever since they joined the conference.
