I'm for any person of any race, creed, or originating continent (other than Antarctica) entering this country legally and becoming a citizen through the legal process.
Okay, so it's a misdemeanor and they randomly get blamed for everything, including in this thread, murder. You ready to pay triple the price for many products? You realize that American citizens are who hire these illegals to work right? That itself is also a crime, in addition to taking jobs away from all those Americans just lining up for those jobs. Ignorant, simply ignorant. If there were no jobs for these individuals, there would be no illegals coming. Instead, your fellow Americans take jobs away from good ole Muricans in order to increase profits and avoid providing benefits. Talk about ironic. You're like a cop going after the kid selling a dime on the corner while ignoring the supplier who is bringing in pounds. Come on, I've seen so much better from you.

That argument only works when the right wants to ignore the fact that red states require the most federal assistance as they complain about socialism. It is simply rather humorous at this point.

That is a good point about those that hire them. They are also criminals. Are either violent crimes? No, but they are still crimes. I will agree that the majority of them aren't shooting cops either and that ANTIFA (typically white college age kids) probably has a higher percentage of the attacks on police. For the top, I'm guessing that likely goes to gang members but also domestic violence calls could be up there too. The fire at Autozone in Minnesota I'd also consider gang as "Umbrella Man" was a Hell's Angel in reports I read.

Now right now I'm flipping between NASCAR and the Flyers/Islanders game while waiting for the Vancouver/Las Vegas game. Both are actually exciting right now even though the Islander's last goal leaked through with 5.1 seconds left in the second. NASCAR is exciting because you have 4 drivers racing for 2 spots in the playoffs.

I'm just wondering when being anti-fascist became a bad thing. You're just better than this though, yeah illegals aren't the best thing but they certainly aren't near being the root of the problem. Neither is Antifa, how long have they even been around? This is all simply a way to deflect blame at this point.

There are ways to vastly improve our police force, simple ways that don't require the funding they currently receive. Mental health is severely lacking and is still stigmatized. Someone diagnosed with cancer is seen as having cancer, someone diagnosed with depression IS depressed. It becomes a description rather than a disease. It's a small thing but shows you where mental illness still is seen in society.

This is all too deep to really discuss here but we aren't great as a country, which is fine. The thing that isn't fine is that people have listened to so much propaganda and think we're the best and refuse to acknowledge that real change is needed to get where we want to be. We aren't close to being number one in any single admirable category. Until people realize this, we will continue to be rather average.

I don't think those who protest and want change hate this country, as many think they do. I truly believe most want to see the country become what it can be. Not just for the wealthy, but for all citizens who call the US home.

The NHL has done a great job, no doubt. Hoping the Avs can even their series tomorrow. Unfortunate that their starting goalie was injured, don't think he'll be back this season no matter how deep they end up going.

I was thinking the same thing about posters on this board. It seems most posts are during the day. Either people are posting during work hours, everyone is working from home, or have night shift jobs.

Huh? That's kind of my point. Not headline worthy? Hmmm. ok. Still, why not protest a game to show frustration with high crime/gang type activities? And instead of playing a game, go to some city and help out some families or some action. I've seen college groups do it (though more as a team activity and not canceling a practice or a contest). Now that would have some impact. And tell me a (not last) time you've heard an athlete come out and disparage gang activity?

How about some solidarity against gangs in our cities. That impact has a potential to be huge. Sadly, most, including us, look the other way.

I'm not in the field of police, so I don't have the answers. Maybe if they are being overworked (which I lost a job for after making a mistake for being too tired and stressed) they should have shorter shifts. If any police have mental health issues I'm all for them getting counseling.

Anti-facsist isn't a bad thing and I don't see this as a fascist country. People that say we are should see what Germany and Italy were like in the 1930's and 1940's to see that we aren't even close to being a fascist country. It could even be argued that the Arab Spring was to get rid of fascist dictators. If we were a fascist country, these protests would have been squashed a long time ago with strong military power and anyone supporting them would also be in jail.

Unfortunately when this country is starts looking like a fascist dictatorship, it will be too late.

And that is why our constitution has checks and balances in it. The fact we have 3 branches of governments is to stop it despite how much some Presidents may think otherwise. When we see one party control 75% of the house, Senate, and Supreme Court along with the presidency is when we can reach that point possibly, but even then I'd hope that 25% of congress would use their constitutional rights and not allow the ruling party to imprison them. To reach a dictatorship, we'd first have to dissolve both congress and the Supreme Court similar to Palpatine dissolving the Galactic Senate.

Or Congress could simply allow the President to do as he/she wishes, just as the Reichstag did in 1933 in the interest of "law and order."

Be grateful that you don't live in MI then. Not saying it's fascist here, but our Guv is essentially a dictator due to a mistake of past legislation.

She kept your state becoming like Flori-duh and being virus epicenter.

And yes there is Fascism in Meatchicken when those loons stormed the state capitol with weapons. They should have all been tossed in jail for intimidation.
