I don't anyone can predict a face mask penalty will get your opponent into field goal range with 13 seconds left and no time outs stopping the clock so that they can get the kick off.
Football Rule #1: Don't take points off the board. An easy touchdown and the extra points it provided would have made the situation much more difficult for the Dolphins. Jmo, but we all question coaches, huh, especially when our team loses?

Well, Just look at a super bowl and see how easy it is to get a touchdown from the 1 yard line. Also, didn't the Jet's stop the Browns this week on 4 tries from the 2? A touchdown wasn't a given unless a player decided not to score when he could have like giving himself up at the 1.

      • Doc Halliday fired at Marshall. Maybe this story should be in the political column.

          • The WAC is expected to announce on Jan. 14 the formation of its FCS football league, which would start play in 2022 with seven initial members: Abilene Christian, Lamar, Sam Houston State, Stephen F. Austin, Southern Utah, Tarleton State and Dixie State.

The league is expected to add two more schools in the coming months, with a mix of Division II and other FCS schools being vetted.

The long-term goal is to bring the WAC back to the FBS level later in the decade.

I'm almost certain West Texas A&M will be included in this conference. Between the new FB stadium, the BB arena and even baseball facility they'd be able to step right in and compete for recruits. Biggest thing would be securing funding for scholarships.

              • UCA has officially announced its move to the ASUN. Their AD went on this show tonight and talked about it.

ASUN Football will start this fall as an FCS conference with AQ for the playoffs comprised of UNA, Kennesaw State, UCA, and three schools he couldn't yet mention. Of course, Jax State and EKU have been rumored to be joining. He also mentioned the possibility of some or all of those schools joining Liberty in FBS as a conference (or independents if all don't want to move) in a 2-3 years.

                Go GSC and Roar LIONS!!
