I really hope this ends up being a really useless thread. No offense.

I do too, but I wanted one spot to keep track of them to see how good or bad it gets.

Grand Valley and Winston Salem should split the mileage and meet up on a vacant field in Columbus, Ohio since it was the other two teams that COVID cancelled.

Supposedly GVSU was offering to go all the way to Winston-Salem this weekend to play, but they didn't want to do that. The Rams only have something like 3 home games currently this year and that would have given them a fourth home game on the schedule.

If some of the leagues were smart, they would at least work out an agreement that if league A has a team who's opponent has to cancel due to Covid and league B has a team that has an open slot or their opponent had to cancel as well, they would help to at least work out the details of getting that game to happen.

Winston-Salem rejecting a home game vs. GVSU makes absolutely no sense unless they are afraid of a loss.

And if that's the case, other than the contempt of some D2/Laker fans, how does that affect their program ? They skip a home game on Labor Day weekend that would have probably been poorly attended anyway. Most fans of the RAMS are not truly aware of the status of GVSU and would rather start their long weekend on the grill.

Of course, it would be kinda humorous if somehow GVSU and WSSU both manage to get into the playoffs and meet up in the semi's or something. A whole week of us trashing WSSU for ducking GVSU for an emergency opening game?? Would be fun.
