I think they should play Association Football rules.

Because they play in the US (mostly) and the officials know HS / NCAA / NFL rules, not CFL rules

LoL, once it was put out there, I was looking for the underlying reasoning so my mind went to something like, rather than play a lesser version of the same sport, maybe smaller schools should consider playing a different sport.
