There are 6 ranked games this week; and in regions 2, 3, and 4, the team I'd assume is #11 will be playing a team inside the top 10.

If you use the "formula" that people have said is being used (W/L%+SOS), Charleston should be ahead of Findley...Charleston 1.225, Findlay 1.212. It's clear from the SR1 rankings that the NCAA is "engineering" the ranking to insure the GMAC has a team in the #9 spot (and thereby, getting earned access). They want it to be Tiffin, but if that doesn't happen, they have Findlay waiting in the wings at #10.

Also worth noting, the NCAA continues to put UNCP in SR2. They also now have them as 5-3 vice their actual record of 6-3. Using the "formula" that would make them 1.217...also ahead of Findlay.

Was one of their wins a forfeit? I wonder if that is the difference.

Inkblot, what do you think played into Harding be sustained at 2 vs what you predicted? Whats the difference in formula, I thought you had sound logic.

The Wesleyan non-game doesn't count... and if it did, it would probably hurt UNCP's SOS more than it would help their winning percentage.

I can't explain it. The committee seems to have some fondness for the GAC... SEOSU over Washburn doesn't seem to be warranted either.

Hey can you help me understand what the "DII Results above .500" means?

                      http://web1.ncaa.org/champsel_new/ex.../staticpdfrank

The NCAA sheet has Lindenwood listed at 2-1. But by my calculations (if it means what I think it mean), they are 3-1.

Wins vs: Truman, UIndy, and Findlay
                      Loss vs: Angelo State

What am I missing? Or did they miss something?

NM.....I figured it out... Uindy is technically 4-4 bc of the NAIA game they played
