Mk63NuclearBomb: 7
KleShreen: 7
Argonut: 7
Psycho: 7
Woodbury: 7
reloadmvp: 6
Fun Facts:
With UWF's loss, the overwhelming favorite is gone. 10/19 brackets had the Argos winning the title while another 2 had them advancing out of SR2
The remaining favorite to win it all is now Valdosta State (4), followed by Ferris State (3) and NWMSU (2)
Only four teams were picked to win the whole thing
How did the board do with upsets? 17/19 correctly called UWG over Albany, 8/19 picked UNK over Western Colorado, 2/19 picked Bemidji to beat Augustana, and only one bracket called Newberry over UWF
There were four upset predictions out of 57 picks (19 entries*3 games) in SR3, all four were Washburn beating Harding
Every game this week was worth one point for a total of twelve. From here on out there will be 16 points on the line per round (8*2, 4*4, 2*8, 1*16). No one is truly out of it yet, so next week will go a long way in determining the winner. Good luck everyone!Last edited by Mk63NuclearBomb; 11-21-2021, 06:21 PM.

Thunder 19
EastStroud13 19

EveryCatAWildman 15
Mk63NuclearBomb 15
Psycho 15
Argonut 13
reloadmvp 10
Fun Facts:
The board overwhelmingly called the only upset of the week with 16/19 players picking NWMSU to beat Harding
Only one player chose Bowie to make the SR2 final
9/19 players called the SR1 final, 11/19 called SR3, and 4/19 correctly picked both regional finalists in SR4
The three remaining teams with championship picks are still alive, but we're guaranteed to lose one next week with Ferris (3) and NWMSU (2) facing off in Big Rapids
Once again, points double next week. Each correct semifinalist is worth 4 points for a total of 16 available. Good luck everyone!

Twolfbenchwarmer 17
reloadmvp 14
Fun Facts:
We were going to lose a team with championship votes today, and it was NWMSU (2). Valdosta (4) and Ferris (3) are the remaining teams picked to win it all.
The board, by plurality, called Shepherd advancing out of SR1. 7/19 players chose the Rams to throw it back to 2015 and make the semis while 5 chose NDC, 4 chose Kutztown, 2 chose The Rock, and 1 chose New Haven
Tyson Bagent has now thrown a game-winning TD as time expired in consecutive playoff games (sorry Kutztown fans)
the following players have no potential points remaining: reloadmvp, Twolfbenchwarmer, ILoveItWhenYouCallMeLittlePoppa, Turbonium, EastStroud13, Thunder, and BulldogLB. Sorry folks.
Points double again next week, each correct finalist is worth 8 points for a total of 16 available. It looks like the top 4 have separated themselves from the pack so round could be decisive.

Standings after semifinals:
Goods 50
Ram Tough 48
CalifOKRA 42
d2-football-fan 41
DawgUp 37
Uwfalum98 37
Woodbury 33
EveryCatAWildman 33
Mk63NuclearBomb 31
Psycho 27
ILoveItWhenYouCallMeLittlePoppa 26
Turbonium 25
EastStroud13 23
Kleshreen 23
BulldogLB 21
Argonut 21
Thunder 19
Twolfbenchwarmer 17
reloadmvp 14
Fun Facts:
The 1st and 2nd seeds both won for the first time since reseeding was introduced
This is the third time a GLIAC team has faced a GSC team in the championship game, and VSU has been the GSC representative all three times
Goods maintained his stranglehold on the top spot for a third straight week
4/19 players correctly picked the championship matchup. Among those players, VSU has a 3-1 advantage
This one will come down to the final game (as all good bracket pools do). There are no scenarios in which a tie is possible. Goods wins if Ferris (3) wins and Ram Tough wins if VSU (4) wins.

I just got in to my hotel for the night so here it is!
2021 Bracket Challenge Final Standings:
1. Goods 66
2. DawgUp 53
3. Ram Tough 48
4. Mk63NuclearBomb 47
5. CalifOKRA 42
6. d2-football-fan 41
7. Uwfalum98 37
8. Woodbury 33*
9. EveryCatAWildman 33*
10. Psycho 27
11. ILoveItWhenYouCallMeLittlePoppa 26
12. Turbonium 25
13. Kleshreen 23*
14. EastStroud13 23*
15. BulldogLB 21*
16. Argonut 21*
17. Thunder 19
18. Twolfbenchwarmer 17
19. reloadmvp 14
Fun Facts:
Ferris State's 41-point margin of victory is the second-largest in the history of the D2 championship game, trailing only Northern Colorado's bulldozing of IUP in 1997 (51-0). It was also just the 5th time a team has scored 50+ in regulation in the championship game.
I stormed a field for the first time! Props to IronOre for bullying me into going!
As I said earlier today, Goods won. Ram Tough managed to hang on for third on the strength of his previous picks, and DawgUp jumped him for second
As mentioned last week, there was no scenario in which the winner would tie. However, there were three ties further down the table. I realize that the tiebreaker was left pretty ambiguous in the original post, so I'll clarify here: I'm using the spread each player guessed (winning score-losing score)
Thanks for playing everyone! I had a great time running this and I look forward to doing it next year :)
