Bowl Games & Team Cancellations - Would your team go?

What if bowl officials start asking D2 teams to be on standby in case of a cancellations? Would your team go if called?

They should put together a D2 All Star team to replace Texas A & M.
Bernard at QB, Al McKeller at RB, Ferris St Oline, Sam Roberts Dline Jackson Barnes LB to name a few. With a week of practice a D2 All Star team might be competitive imho

Ooo....that would be cool. A D2 All-star team. That would give the NFL scouts another look at our guys!

Miami has withdrawn from the Sun Bowl against Washington State.

The Arizona Bowl has been cancelled, Boise State has backed out due to Covid-19 issues. And Central Michigan has filled Miami's spot in the Sun Bowl.

The Holiday Bowl has been cancelled just four hours before kickoff. UCLA has Covid-19 issues and there's not enough time to find a replacement team for them.

UCLA's Coach Chip Kelly pulled a major BS move by backing out at the last minute. This, after kelly did an interview yesterday saying all was good, and as long as I have 11 players to put on the field, they're playing. He didn't even let NC State know, they found out from the FOX Sports producer shortly before the game that had UCLA had decided to backed out because of protocol.

That's not right. You know at least a day ahead if you're going to play.

Back to my original train of thought here. Let's say the bowls select one or two backup teams for their bowl. The week before, the backup teams would have to prepare to face either team in the bowl and be ready to go.
Do you think any D2 teams would be interested in being a backup for a donation to their program? Would any coach want to take the risk of getting players hurt before next season? If they did play, the players would get all goodies bowls give the players and coaches.

LOL....didn't mean you were wrong. I meant that it wasn't right for them to cancel so close to the start of the game...... :)
