  • Congratulations Dawgs!

I'm not a Georgia fan, but I'm glad they won the FBS National Championship. Their QB Stetson Bennett showed a LOT of heart.
The win gave coach Kirby Smart, 46, his first national championship and his first victory over his former boss, Alabamas Nick Saban, who was seeking his eighth title and seventh in Tuscaloosa.

FYI -- Kirby Smart was a former DC at Valdosta State.

I think I'm still stunned Kirby didn't choke the game away. But now the hard work begins.

Georgia beat a maimed Alabama team is all they did. Congrats to them. Would have been a completely different game with Metchie, Williams, Jobe and Davis.

I know you aren't caping for a team that's made 6 of the last 7 finals and won half of them. They're going to be top 2 until Nick Saban retires regardless of what happens in any given year.

It's never too early to look ahead. Sure, the celebrations are roaring on after Georgia's 33-18 triumph over Alabama in Monday's CFP National Championship, but we don't have time ...
