West Texas A&M Athletics sits fourth in the updated Division II LEARFIELD Director's Cup standings announced following the conclusion of the NCAA's winter championships on Thursday morning.
Grand Valley State sits atop of the standings with 754.0 points followed by Colorado School of Mines (614.25), Queens (540.0), West Texas A&M (537.5), and Colorado Mesa (492.25) to round out the top five.
The Buffs and Lady Buffs picked up 285.5 points during the winter scoring portion with women's basketball (73), men's basketball (50), women's indoor track and field (82.5), and men's indoor track and field (80) to go along with the 252.0 points accumulated by WT in the fall.
WT leads the way among Lone Star Conference institutions followed by Angelo State (28th, 270.5), Texas A&M-Commerce (51st, 204.0), Dallas Baptist (64th, 165.0), Lubbock Christian (105th, 114.0), Oklahoma Christian (120th, 93.0), UT Tyler (121st, 91.5), Texas A&M-Kingsville (130th, 78.5), Midwestern State (135th, 75.0), Texas Woman's (166th, 50.0) and UT Permian Basin (218th, 22.0).
