you got Davenport too high, maybe put Delta or West Florida there.

I'd switch 5 and 6, I'd switch 18 and 19, and then I'd add lake superior state at #20 in case they decide to add football next season

It’s a sad day when Valdosta can’t even make the top 20, If coach Jackson doesn’t present a wining season, our A.D. is going to have to let him go...

The real question is which Wayne State is at #19?

Honestly, though. If we just did a separate GLIAC+MIAA power ranking each week, we'd probably end up with a better version of at least the top 10 than the national polls end up having.

Two conferences that are top heavy and the same couple teams win the conference every year....and the rest of the league are just warm bodies.

When was the last time Meatchicken Tech, Northern Meatchicken, Wayne State or Saggy Booby Valley won the GLIAC?

None of them have won the GLIAC in the last 15 years.

The teams not Ferris or GV that won the GLIAC in the last 15 years are now in the GMAC. (Ashland, Ohio Dominican and Hillsdale)

IUP beat Ashland in 2017. Ashland won the GLIAC that year.

                  The MIAA is no better.

Northwest Misery has won the MIAA 11 times in 15 years. (Tied 3 times with another school since they don't play a title game)
Pittsburg Without The H State has won it 3 times. (one tie)
Fort Hays State - 2 times (one tie)
Central Misery - 1 time (it was a tie...with guess who)
                  Misery Western - 1 time

So really...teams not NW that won the MIAA out right in 15 years was 4 times. Not exactly competitive.

Now the lowly Pee Sack has had a title game between the winners of each division since 2008 (after it was discontinued in 1987).

IUP has won it 3 times
                  Slimey Pebble - 3
                  Kutztown - 2
                  Kollyfornia - 2
                  West Chester - 1
                  Bloomsburg 1
                  Shippensburg - 1
                  Mercyhurst - 1

So while we do suck nationally...it's been somewhat competitive within the league. Shepherd is going to eventually be added that list. We only had a repeat winner once since 2008, that was Slimey Pebble in 2014/2015. I think we are more what D2 really is (small school foosball) as opposed to the FCS teams in D2 clothing that Ferris, GV, NW and the few GSC schools really are.....

Look at the records of the MIAA champs, seldomly are the champs unblemished, and some of the years the there were ties, NWMSU won the title. While these teams may be historically powerhouse D2 teams, we would all largely get crushed by upper level FCS teams, because we can’t simply compete financially, or fundraise like they can. I would probably like to believe they could stomp the conference lindenwood is in, but not the Missouri Valley.

Kansas schools hardly get state funding, so perhaps some of their tuition money goes to athletics, but I believe that much of the athletics budget is fundraiser and financed through the football program, ticket sales, sponsorships and season ticket extortion fees.

fund it or quit it. Simple as that.

I don't want the soft conferences to quit. If they can't afford to actually try, that's fine. Let's just stop using playoff berths as a participation trophy.

What I really wish is that the NCAA would let the underfunded play d2 in sports they can compete in sand naia in football.

How many schools play D2 foosball in Kansas? Four. Seems easier to fundraise when there isn't much overlap .

There are 16 in Pennsylvania. We have 8 FCS foosball schools...and three FBS schools. Seems like we have an uphill battle when it comes to getting players at least in state...especially in a state with a lot of old people and a declining high school population..especially in the more conservative areas. I mean our starting QB is a transfer from your school.

Add in that zero state funds can be used for scholarships in PA while NW/GV and Ferris are fully funded by their states. So they have a huge head start. IUP is in the low 20's and that at the top of the public schools in the Pee Sack. Our privates can print coupons for students...so they are fully funded on paper based on the coupons.

Fund it or quit it is arrogance by the haves....but D2 is 95% made up of have nots. So really you want D2 to be about 10 teams playing a round robin for 4 months....while the other 152 teams just hope to be good in their region.

The GLIAC was 14-2 against D2 teams not in SR3 this season, 16-2 if you count Ferris in the semis and finals. The only two losses were from the worst team in the GLIAC and the 2nd/3rd-worst team in the GLIAC depending on if you wanna go by record or actual play. And this discussion is about how the GLIAC and MIAA are better than the rest of the country. It doesn't matter how many PSUC teams win their conference title. They all get steamrolled the first time they play a decent team in the playoffs. That's the whole issue.

Move the GLIAC back to SR1 and see what happens.

The top of the GLIAC and MIAA are better than the rest of the country. Your warm body teams are not that scary.

So this was the GLIAC vs Region 1 this year.......

Grand Valley played the worst team in the Northeast 10 (American International). Congrats on that scheduling coup.

Saggy Booby Valley played the worst team in the Mountain East in West Virginia Weslyan.

Northern Meatchicken played Post University...who literally just started playing foosball. Another massive win!

Wayne State actually let their balls drop and played at least a top team in Region 1 in Slimey Pebble...and got rolled.

If you want to move back to Region 1...maybe you should play Ashland/Fake Notre Dame/Ohio Dominican/Tiffin/IUP/Slimey Pebble/Kutztown/Shepherd/Assumption/New Haven instead of the teams in our region that barely have a pulse.

                            ...and D3 teams? Really?

The reason Ashland/Notre Dame/Ohio Dominican and Tiffin are in SR1 is because they ran away from the GLIAC when they couldn't compete lol. With a small exception to Ashland leaving because all the other Ohio schools left before them so their travel was brutal.

And yea, D3 schools, because every other D2 school in the country was afraid to face real competition.

GLIAC was 8-1 against SR1 this year. Current GLIAC schools were 11-2 against current SR1 schools last year. There's a reason literally every champion from SR2, SR3, and SR4, lick their chops at the thought of facing the SR1 champion. SR1 is an embarrassment to the product of D2 football and has been for as long as the GLIAC was kicked out of it. Current SR1 schools are now 0-for-50 in winning D-II championships lol. Like come on nation. Not a single current SR1 school has ever won a national title in football. And only FOUR have even made it to the title game in 50 seasons. I know you're just trying to hold water but you don't need to. Everyone knows it's been a sunk ship at the bottom of the ocean for five decades.
