Trey Vaval - something about hearing his name over the speakers at the Blake makes me not surprised he's on this list. Very talented guy.

I figured Garrison (TE) would be the on the radar guy for Pitt State.

Okonkwo may have more fun on the field than any player I've ever seen. He's fun to watch.

I actually expanded and updated list because there have been some transfers since I posted my initial list. Check out the update. I went ahead and added Garrison. I talked to a lot more people so this updated list is much more extensive.

Workhorse at DB too (IMO). He sealed the game for the Mavs against USF - they probably would have won anyway, but it was a cool ending against a great team.

Yeah, I hope he can continue to play on.

I sat behind his family at that game, that was neat.

Incredible work putting this list together! It must’ve taken a lot of research to get all these studs identified.

I expect Matocha to ball out again in an offense oriented RMAC en route to a deep playoff run and another Harlon Hill. Hope he crushes it at the next level. Bagent has looked decent with the Bears and Matocha is on a whole nother level

Thank you! I just talked around to some of my connections in the NFL and coaches. I am sure there will be some names pop up that are not on this list but this should give a good idea of where NFL teams are sending scouts this fall.

I think that you confuse Matocha being on another team with Matocha being a better fit for the NFL. It doesn't work that way. I wish him luck, though. But as a player, he's not on another level. That's just laughable.

Him being 5'11" and 180 lbs would get him killed in the NFL.

100% agree! Matocha is a great D2 QB, maybe an all-timer. But, that is not at all the same thing as being an NFL caliber talent. His mind and arm might be there, but his size and speed (lack thereof) makes a conversation about him in the NFL a non-starter.

Yep! It's not a knock on him at all, and I honestly hope he proves me wrong. However, you see very few QBs his size in the NFL for good reason. Matocha played on a better team than Bagent. Really, the line play on both sides was significantly better for Mines. It is what it is. But one can be more talented and play on a team that isn't as good overall.

Here is an early look at an updated top 15 D2 prospects for me at the mid-way point of the CFB season.

A few notes for this list. Drew was not #1 in preseason but has been very good this year and has been pushed there for now.

Jiles, Heyward, and Garrison have made the biggest jump for me while the only faller so far has been Vaval.

Heyward has size and has run well prior so it will be interesting to see how he tests.
