I totally agree. Except for one thing. Texas am Texarkana is going d2. And that doesn't mean it will happen but it's a possibility.

Will TAMU Texarkana be sponsoring football? Because that might be the only way the GAC even considers them for membership, I would think.

That was up for debate. Initial article said they were then the university said they hadn't decided so it's up for the air. The GAC would be really smart to take Texarkana. It gets them into Texas, another Metro that is very supportive of Athletics, and keeps them out of the lone Star.
