  • CSU-Pueblo @ Western Colorado - at this point both likely playing for seeding in Region IV and possilby RMAC title.

Wingate @ Lenoir-Rhyne - likely playing for seeding in Region II...SAC conference is still open but winner here has easiest path.

Fort Hays @ Emporia - this rivalry game will be played 2 days shy of the 100 year anniversary of first matchup in 1924. This will be the 94th game in that time. Emporia still has a bit to prove to make playoffs....and I think FHSU still has a very very narrow path but of course winning this is a must.

Central Missouri @ Pittsburg - 5 years older than the game above having first played in 1919, although this is only th 54th matchup in that time. Central MO has the offensive firepower to catch Pitt sleeping, which would really disrupt region III if they pull the upset.

Central Washington @ Angelo - could be a playoff elimination game.

Central Oklahoma @ Missouri Western - a bit of the polish on UCO season came of last week, they have to pick themselves up with a long road trip to a place in MO West that historically has weird things happen. This is another game where an upset would throw Region III into some chaos.

    • IMO - Minnesota State and Northern State is my pick for the NSIC, though UMD/Winona is probably the real answer. WSC/Bemidji also looks good.

I thought there was good potential for shake up in Region III, was thinking more coming from the MIAA not the from Southern Naz knocking down Ouachita!

Yeah. I definitely think that might turn out to be the GOTW.

              • Virginia Union vs Virginia State will be for a spot in the CIAA championship game. SR2 playoff seeds are also at stake.

                • Should be a quiet week in the GAC. I'll keep an eye on two games to see how OBU and SNU respond to their game last week. It would be good to see if SNU can keep it rolling with a win over UAM at home.

OBU travels to face the other OBU in Shawnee. Will OBU step up after a terrible loss to or will they struggle against the other Oklahoma private school? It's really hard not to conclude Ouachita was looking past both SNU and OkBU to the Battle of the Ravine, but I expect they are dialed in now knowing that their playoff hopes are on the line the next 2 weeks.

                  Passing is a Sin

                  • Pitt vs Bye could have a bearing on the ranking. NWMSU @ MWSU in the Inconsequential Bowl is NOT a candidate for GOTW

The hatred and potential for parking lot shankings make MW/NW a worthy game.

Hopefully the odds of a player getting shanked on the field during the game are close to 0😳

                        • While it's not GOTW - one game I'll be watching closely is Minot vs. Moorhead.

I've got the Dragons winning, but I think Minot is going to fight hard. Been rooting for those boys this year, their coach got them to buy in and it's been interesting to watch.

                          • IMO. The NSIC game between Augustana and U of Sioux Falls is GOTW. 2 campuses separated by 2 blocks in a rivalry game for the "key to the city trophy" More importantly there are huge playoff implications. AU is 7-1, USF at 6-2 in conference play. USF needs the win to make playoffs and Augie for a shot at top seed in SR4.

                            • Valdosta State - Delta State will be an interesting watch, because although DSU is 5-3 and VSU is undefeated, The Blazers have not played anyone. Their opponents are a combined 12 games below .500 with the best record being 4-4.

Correction; the game between Virginia State and Virginia Union will not be for a spot in the CIAA championship game. Union already clinched a spot in the game. There's about 4 different scenarios that will determine who gets to play VUU in the CIAA championship game. This game will also have it's usual bragging rights among the arch rivals.
