    The GLVC is on a tear with adding new sports recently. Women's wrestling will become their 27th sport beginning this year: full members McKendree, Quincy, Upper Iowa, and William Jewell are joined by affiliates Davenport, Grand Valley, and Northern Michigan.

    Additionally, Purdue Northwest and Trevecca Nazarene are joining as affiliate members for stunt, which is also becoming a GLVC sport this year. East Stroudsburg, who was mentioned in their initial press release announcing they would be adding stunt, seems to have backed out, however.

      Mixed results for the PacWest, as Jessup and Vanguard were allowed to skip Year 3 and become active members whereas Menlo must repeat Year 2.

      All other schools advanced as expected, including Thomas More and USC Beaufort advancing to active membership and Middle Georgia State beginning the 3-year membership process (Ferrum was already accepted into the 2-year process).
      USC Beaufort and Middle Georgia State? Never heard of them before now. Good to know. I'm familiar with all the other schools in the article. Thanks for sharing.

        USC Beaufort would've been close to making the MBB regional last season if they were eligible.

          USC-Beaufort are the Sand Sharks and are navy, sand and light blue. Middle Georgia State Knights are purple, gray and black and share the city of Macon with Mercer. I ate at a place in Macon called Cook Out after the Mav loss at Valdosta. Tasty and affordable!

              One of my sisters and my older brother were both born in Beaufort, SC (my Dad was a DI at Parris Island at that time) which is across the bridge. They were born in the mid 1950's a few years before USC Beaufort opened and before I was born. We visited there once after we moved to North Carolina about a decade later and I remember seeing the alligators in the swamp below the bridge. It's really dangerous trying escape from Parris Island. If the DI and MP's don't get you the alligators and venomous snakes will. LOL

                There was a gal from Waterville, Minnesota that played for USC-Beaufort last season. Bartelt is the last name!

                    I haven't heard even a whisper. I'll have to ask one of my grappler friends.

                          I don’t get down South too often, but I make it a point to stop at a Cook Out at least once when I do. Solid food and great milkshakes.

All four schools are transitioning from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.

                              Some updates to the OP;

                              Great Lakes Valley adding Women's Wrestling.

                              Jefferson Women's Golf affiliating with the NE10.

                              Augustana Women's Lacrosse removed from the new teams chart. It appears they have decided not to add the team. The original announcement for the team has been scrubbed from the website.

                              Shepherd Men's Tennis and Women's Tennis is now in the dropped teams chart. Thanks to Finchwidget for alerting me to this and the Augustana situation.

                              Added information about the future D2 Women's Bowling Championship.
