Anyone recall the old "Metro Conference" which, if I'm not mistaken, evolved into what's now Conference USA? The Metro of the 1980s included Louisville, Florida State, Georgia Tech, South Carolina, Memphis and Virginia Tech. There were discussion that some of the remaining Metro Conference members wanted to merge with the Big East's football schools to form a super conference of 16 teams (unheard of at the time) with divisions as follows:Originally posted by laker View Post

More details on Monroe's transition. They plan on submitting their application to the NCAA by October 1st, so they're angling for the expedited transition timeline, and they'll have one lame-duck year in the CACC before becoming a provisional D2 member in 2027 (if all goes according to plan).Comment

It's blowing up. Right now, your daughter has a better chance of earning a flag football scholarship than my son will in 2029. I believe the Big 12 will have it as a championship level sport by 2027 and it being in the 2028 Olympics plus the massive investment by the NFL and other private donors like Mark Cuban will only make it get more massive.Originally posted by ctrabs74 View PostI like turtles.Comment
