Friends is basically the NAIA’s Harding- a religious school that runs the flexbone. They’ve gained 5641 rushing yards in their 12 games this season, an average of 470 yards per game. Their team name, the Falcons, doesn’t seem to fit though.

Also, Montana Tech beat Central Washington a couple years ago when CWU had a playoff team.

Don’t tell joshwahls that last statement.

Not only was CWU a playoff team that year, they won 2 playoff games.

And finished #2 in conference play. Sounds softer than baby food if you ask me.

It's crazy how many of these teams were D2 what seems like not long ago.

Good luck to Benedictine (HC Joel Osborn is a former QB/asst Coach @ NWMSU & my son in law was a teammate of Joel’s when they won an IA HS FB State Championship)

New Mexico won one of the biggest games in program history (in dramatic fashion) on Saturday against San Diego State. Unfortunately, USU couldn't polish off Boise State so UNM didn't get a spot in the conference title game - but the one year turnaround from Jason Eck & Co is incredibly impressive.

Sounds like South Dakota State had quite the dropoff after the injury to Chase Mason - I heard they pulled out the win against UND, then absolutely pounded New Hampshire. It will be interesting to see if they can get back to #2 form.

I'm going to post a composite schedule with days and start times identified that is all in one post in a separate thread. (It's an annual tradition of mine on the D2 Football Forum!) My apologies in advance for the semi-duplicative post.

Being the NAIA Harding doesn't make you on par with basically playoff D2 teams, which was essentially the point you were making by association.

No. I’ve watched them play. I’ve watched ENMU play. Friends is better than enmu. That was the point. And you acted like naia teams aren’t beating d2 teams and no shot a playoff team. I rest my case from this situation above.

You didn't say that Friends is better than ENMU.

You said they'd "wipe the floor" with them, which was only done by teams who made the postseason in D2 this year. Someone calling them "the Harding of NAIA" doesn't validate that.

If someone on here called them the "Ohio State of NAIA" that bears absolutely no evidence that they'd compete with a D1 playoff team.

No. The validation comes from Montana Tech beating a 2 playoff win d2 team in 23 in CWU. It’s not even close to impossible. This was nothing about Harding of naia. It was about the naia team beating a playoff d2 team. Read slower. Use your finger as you go, if it helps.
