What was fun seeing an over stacked Alabamastan in the title game every year? What was fun seeing four hand picked teams in the playoffs? What is fun knowing 95 percent of the teams in FBS were eliminated from title contention in summer camp?

Fake Indiana University breaking out of forever futility and crushing it was amazing to watch. They did it with players that were older…but no blue chips. It was awesome.

Students getting paid cuts back on them
leaving after one or two seasons for the draft. In fact no league should be drafting anyone under 22 in any sport….

That's not where I'm at. I'm just not OK with megacorporations disguised as college sports getting free labor with legalized non-compete.

I could care less how many people buy into the marketing. Wrong is wrong.

AR has over 10, including more than one of the top 10. They still suck, though.

Most of the ones in Flori-duh made that money in Kollyfornia.

The BIG schools have more money….

If you want things to go back to the way they were..tonight’s title game should be played in a regular arena in front of 20000 people instead of a foosball stadium in front of 60000.

I wonder if there will be an EO issued against the BIG monopolizing the National Titles….

The Big Ten is the first conference in Division I history to have 3 different schools win national championships in football (Indiana), men's basketball (Michigan) and women's basketball (UCLA) in the same academic year.

If the conferences supposedly support “the message” they could have fixed the issue already. Nothing was stopping them or the NCAA from changing the portal rules.

I’m perfectly fine with athletes getting paid…they already were in the SEC. Conferences were getting paid from TV rights…athletes not seeing a penny while others get rich is basically indentured servitude
                Careful…….your TDS is showing.

When you continually use the phrase "Fake Indiana University", you are referring to that dink, irrelevant school in Pennsylvania that could not come up with its own name but hoisted the name from a few states over, right?

Record NC game attendance was over 79 thousand back in 2014 (prior to NIL and out of control transfers). Last night, attendance was less than 71 thousand. Yep, take me back to the good ole days.

Thankful for this EO. However, there needs to be a permanent law or solution in place when the courts strike it down.

Indeed there does. Read a tweet today that over 25% of the women in the transfer portal were already in the portal before. So basically you have players that will now be going to their THIRD school. Some even their fourth. Apparently getting a quality education from a good school is a secondary priority now, which is sad because that degree is going to make a big difference long-term, not a little money that will be gone by the time they are 30.

95 percent of the teams are still eliminated from title contention every year during summer camp. Indiana University won the NC via Mark Cuban. There are a few very poor to mediocre programs that are now competitive because they have billionaire backing. And a few good to excellent programs that are now noncompetitive because they do not. All in all not much has changed as to the actual brands - maybe the addition or subtraction of a very few.

We are now just cheering for laundry. The schools are paying ballers to wear their logo and win. No one knows who these players even are anymore. They don't attend any classes. They are just a bunch of balling homies doing their thing for a semester, and then onto the next highest bidder, or when eligibility runs out, washing cars.

UNC is slashing $85 million for its academic and research budget, yet their baller budget has increased $67 million in the last 4 years. They ran a $14 million deficit last year. This isn't college sports anymore. It's money ball. I love me some pro sports, but funding it from college students and their parents, and at the expense of higher education, is pretty screwed up.
