  • Shifting All D2 Sports - Including Football - to Spring 2021 on the Table

Very interesting interview with MEC Commissioner Reid Amos last night about some of the things actually under consideration.

Amos is currently serving on the NCAA D2 Championships Committee and is a former chair of the D2 Football Committee so there's likely some fire behind this smoke.

Probably have to paste the link in your browser in order to listen but it's worth it.

Two sport athletes are not common but they would have to decide. Please someone suggest to Com. Amos that the MEC begin their active search for a football school in Greensburg. It's really close to WV and it's kind of a football school.

        LOL

Trouble with that is if the MEC poaches Seton Hill (hopefully) ... who will the PSAC try to poach from the MEC? Seton Hill can leave ... bring Fairmont State aboard.

Getting back to the original point, does anyone really think it's a good idea to play a football game outdoors in February in, say, Duluth or Erie? Unless they start the season in March, I just don't see this scheme going through.
