Virgin Hyperloop announced that it will build its $500M test and certification center in Grant and Clark Counties in West Virginia (Counties border on Western Maryland). This center will be the development and testing hub for Virgin's high speed "train" system that will have trains that travel in excess of 600 MPH. A couple of the estimated travel times mentioned - Pittsburgh to Chicago in 41 minutes...New York City to Washington DC in 30 minutes. According to Virgin and the state of WV, this center will employ 7,300 construction jobs and ultimately 6,000 permanent workers.
