OT: Spring Trip Recommendations

I turn 40 next spring and some college friends want to go away and celebrate for a weekend. We're all in Pittsburgh, so we're looking to head somewhat south (WV, MD, and VA) in late April or early May. Looking for some suggestions on a town or area to check that allows for golf & breweries. Nothing too fancy - some guys put greater effort into their beer consumption than their golf game, so resorts are out. Thanks in advance.
