The Dr Jekyll Mr Hyde UNCP team defeated Frostburg State 10-9

Saw this coming after the notification of the game being moved from Saturday to Thursday due to the predicted effect of Hurricane Ian, which forced a Western MD team to now travel early to North Carolina. Add that the team is still without the services of their starting QB, you saw this loss coming for the Bobcats. Their tackling was awful. And their running game was shutdown by the Braves defense. Congrats to the Braves on the win. Now Frostburg State must get ready for Notre Dame College.

In one of the other threads he said " he was back after dealing with some personal issues". hopefully, thats not the reason we haven't heard from him. Hopefully, its shame and he's allergic to crow.

Frostburg lost a guy who appears to be an amazing head coach considering what he has done at Directional Utah in his first year. That's a tough loss, then frankly their hiring process was a disaster which led to a suboptimal recruiting class. Add in a significant graduation and transfer portal exodus of skill players and seniors and its a recipe for a poor season and potentially a harbinger for future seasons if they can't rectify recruiting asap.

To their credit, they have performed decently this year and will probably finish with a winning record. Part of that winning record though has to attributed to the lack of competition among some of the schools in the MEC. If Frostburg was in the PSAC with this team, its probably a 4-7 or 5-6 team. If they were in the MIAA probably a 2 or 3 win team.
