Only thing we can hope for is that he decides to "retire" when he gets to 100 career wins.

Yeah, that was a damaging win (which is crazy to say for a university you root for), which probably guarantees him at least another year, if not 2 on the hilltop! Come on MEC teams put us out of our misery with this coaching staff, lol.

What we need is for Glenville State to take West Lib behind the shed and embarrass us on "Homecoming". I hate that it has come to this, but a good whipping in front of administrators and alumni might do the trick or at least get the ball rolling.

Wouldn't be the first time we've been embarrassed on homecoming. I don't think this HC can be shamed into quitting. He11, if 15 years of abject failure at his job is not enough to shame into leaving, the result of one little homecoming ain't going to convince him!

Rumor has it this is his last season. Someone posted on social media that he’s retiring.

We'll see. I remember when Keller was hired as the assistant HC that it was supposed to be a two year gig that was going to lead to him being named the HC when Waillai retired. He didn't and Keller left for Glenville.

I'll believe he's retiring when I see the door hit him in his ass as he walks out.

My son hasn't mentioned anything about him retiring. That would be a dream come true.

I think the issues under this staff has rarely been pure poor recruiting. They could do better especially in the Ohio Valley and in WV but they still get good players. Development, effort, energy, and staff are the biggest issues.

Hopefully the retirement rumor is true, a good hire should get things going quickly with the resources available.

now watch them promote Monteroso lol

IMHO... It's a little of everything. You can be a "good" coach by recruiting more finished players or by recruiting players with potential and developing them. This staff doesn't seem to do either particularly well so the net effect is a poor product. Compound that with an offensive and defensive style that hasn't changed in 15 years and certainly doesn't adapt to the relative strengths and weaknesses of the players they have...and you end up with 2 to 3 wins in average with a "good" year being five wins.

Hahaha...There have been so many "final nails" that the whole coffin is made of nails!

Boat, five wins would be a dream season. I just hope he leaves and they bring in a whole new coaching staff. But, of course that has been my wish for the last 4 or 5 seasons!

When will WVW go to D3 where they belong? I'd rather vote for that. How do they even keep the doors open with barely 1,000 students?
