I was there. Great game to watch, and it was nice to actually cheer for the kids today. I've spent 2 years hoping they'd lose every game so the coach would leave.
It should never have been as close as it was. WLU gave up the opening 100 yard kick return, couldn't score from the 2 yard line on one drive, and threw an INT in the end zone on another drive, missed 2 extra points, and had another one blocked and ran back for 2 points.
The worst part as always is sitting on the same side of the field with the opposing teams parents and fans, especially Wheeling's. I hope we don't hire their coach to replace Roger. I don't like the overall vibe their team gives off, and I can't tell if it's from the coach or the parents. There were multiple personal fouls during the game. Parents being escorted away by police, just to show right back up again yellingin people'sfacestryingto start ****. And as always the after game fights on the field. At least this year I didn't see the Wheeling players throwing the sideline chairs over the fence and into the woods like they did 2 years ago.

This was "old school" West Liberty football. We HAD to score 68 points because the D gave up 67!! Kind of makes you wonder where where THESE guys where at (at least on the offensive side of the ball) all season?
I think 68 is the most we've put up since hanging 70 on Seton Hill in 2008.
That was always the problem, WLU would have good individual talent, but they where never able to play as a team and the coaches where never able to "game plan" to win games.
