Will be interesting to see if they retain or promote any current coaches, and who they target if not.

D2 coaching searches sure aren't like the big boys! No flight trackers, no message board posts from realtors "that they were showing houses to X...", no "from a reliable source..." posts, yawn.

Used to be a lot of "a source told me .." stuff here Now the board is primarily a recap of what happened... little personal opinion or anything remotely controversial. This board is very sterile...not like it used to be.

I see that. Was hoping for more fan interaction, in game threads, the good, the bad, etc. I've been spoiled by some of the big boy boards that if you miss a day or two, youre 20+ pages behind.
Anyone "heard" from a "source" who GSU is targeting?

You would of liked the board in the 2010's. Now it has all the excitement of a business cocktail party. Lot's of stats thrown about and after the fact "keys to victory." But it's all very dry and presented in a way as not to offend anyone. More likely to see "both team really played their guts out today. I thought our YAC of 7.2 vs your guys 7.1 was the key. I mean no offense" than "we stomped the **** out of your QB! He REALLY sucks!"

lol, everyone is afraid of offending someone anymore! I swear. Well, I hope who ever GSU gets isn't offended by instilling some discipline in the team, bc it was highly lacking! If that offends anyone, apologies, but truth hurts some times.

Or to put it in terms of the current board...Glenville has at times let emotion get the best of them and the result has been at times seen as negative. It is my fervent hope that whom ever is hired to be the Head Football Coach at Glenville can appropriately instruct the young student athletes of the importance of playing the game of football with self control and in the spirit universal fairness and equitiy.

It's basically what Glenville has been for the last 30 years. They always have a bit of talent, talk a lot of crap, play extremely undisciplined. They can beat the best team in the conference on any given Saturday (just like this year) and lose by 20 to the worst team in the country. Usually a completely different team at home vs the road too. Kind of like the MEC's version of Auburn in the SEC right now.

Seems like a pretty fair assessment. I have only really paid "close" attention this year. Not having any true "home" games did not help.

Should have some experienced coaches to lean on and learn from. Could be a two way wvu recruting pipeline as well.
