GV is willing to play most anyone anywhere. They are almost constantly trying to fill their schedule. Charleston is a competitive team so I think most fans are happy to see this matchup. As a plus.. it's closer than at least one of GVs conference opponents. The bigger question is maybe why Charleston didn't want to play up in MI. Typically, it's a financial plus for many a visiting team. Though I don't know who/what determined this game's location.

As far as I know, I thought it's a one off. I think there's a week zero opponent for GV next season..not sure though.
