Went to the AIC homecoming game. AIC really played tough. But turnovers and UNH capitalizing on mistakes caused their fate. Its rough seeing the program like this. On to next week.

Pace wins after the first OT 23-20 after blocking a Bentley FG attempt.

SCSU missed a field goal and is in big trouble. Assumption with the ball.

There were some questionable calls in the game one of which New Haven seemed to tackled AIC quarterback late when he was already out of bound, but AIC was penalized for unnecessary roughness instead. AIC did played a very hard and the final scores were kinda mislead. I think the score was 13-3 at the start of the 4th quarter?

I don't know about you and the rest of AIC football team but to witness a former player, Ju'An Williams, caught 41 yard TD pass against his former team would be hard to swallow. I know I would.

LIU Post improved its record with a convincing 37-6 win over St. Anselm in what is likely the last contest between the two teams, with Post's upcoming move to D1 FCS scheduled for next season.

The Pioneers dominated on both sides of the ball, but the award for the most outstanding individual performance has to go to Sophomore defensive back Nazir Streater. Fresh off last week's incredible one-handed pick at Shippensburg that earned him national accolades as the #1 college football play of the day on ESPN Sports Center, Streater picked off three more passes today as the Pioneer defense held St. Anselm to 2 field goals.

With victories by both New Haven and Assumption, Post has a share of a 3-way tie for 1st place atop the NE10 standings. The logjam will begin to break up next week as New Haven and Assumption meet, while Post will play host to Pace University. The Setters, who came from behind to defeat Bentley 23-20 today in OT, will sport a very respectable 4-2 record as they travel to Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium for next week's game. They are NOT to be taken lightly, as their record shows. Their program is finally reaping the rewards of several years of successful recruiting, a stable coaching staff, a stadium that they can call home. and support of the school administration.

After Pace, Post travels to Southern Connecticut, which came within a whisker of upsetting Assumption on the road, coming from behind to tie the game and force overtime before losing 26-20. This matchup is another one that the Pioneers can't afford to take lightly. The Owls have always been a tough opponent.

To close out the NE10 season, Post travels to Worcester to take on Assumption (nothing more needs to be said about THIS game) and comes back home for the final game against the Chargers of New Haven (same here).

Needless to say, the Pioneers hope to run the table, win the NE10 championship, and advance to the playoffs for their final season in D2. But any one of their final four NE10 opponents is capable of playing the role of spoiler, and no doubt motivated to give the Pioneers a going-away present.

Stay tuned; it's gonna be a helluva ride. LET'S GO PIONEERS!!

We clearly have the top 3 teams and a close fourth.

New Haven, Assumption and Post will start to sort out things over the next two weeks.

                          Pace is in fourth place.

The rest of the league is below .500.
