Weeks 6 and 7 were the most exciting of the NE10 season, and the best is right around the corner. Three teams now stand atop the NE10 standings with 5-0 records - the two most recent NE10 representatives in the NCAA playoffs (LIU-Post and Assumption) and one who wants to get back there (New Haven). The three-way dance for the NE10 title begins this coming week with Assumption visiting a New Haven team that has not beaten Assumption since 2013. Assumption is the only NE10 team that Coach Chris Pincince and quarterback Ajee Patterson have not beaten at least once. Who will survive to next week?
The Week 6 winner was LIU-Post, who won 41-39 at Shippensburg with a field goal with 1 second left.
Week 7 winners were:
1. New Haven over AIC 33-13 - Game was much closer than the final score would indicate, this was 13-10 in the third quarter.
2. LIU-Post 37-6 over St. Anselm - Another week, another win for Post.
3. Pace 23-20 over Bentley, 1 OT - Pace was down 20-0 and stormed back to get their fourth win of the season.
4. Assumption over SCSU 26-20, 1 OT - SCSU scored late but couldn't hold the momentum in overtime.
5. Merrimack over Stonehill 38-24 - Merrimack breaks their losing streak.
