Also New Haven rewarded this year for playing one less game and no out of conference games. Last year Ohio Dominican was told they did not make the playoffs for that same reason. Double standards. Shame on the committee.

My understanding is that playing Bryant is not counted by the Committee or at least is not supposed to count.

Yes but you cant say that they were rewarded for "playing 1 less game" the team played a tough opponent that has much more scholarships and talent then they do. Im sure it was a tough football game to start the season with. They were not rewarded for that, they were rewarded with their only d2 loss by 4 points coming to #2 ranked Post. I think that ODU should have gotten in over Slippery Rock because they played tough OOC schedule (Ashland and Cal).

I think that ODU should have gotten in over Slippery Rock because they played tough OOC schedule (Ashland and Cal).

Fairmont State (9-2) lost to Notre Dame by 3 points. Fairmont was up 14-3 at half. Notre Dame has 3 controversial calls that helped them win the game at the end (RB did not cross on rushing TD on 4th down...Fairmont stopped them 4 times from the 3 yard line and the ref away from the play called pass interference on a overthrown 4th down pass. Gave them another set of downs). Fairmont lost to Charleston by 6 win both teams were 3-0. Fairmont finished on a 5 game win streak averaging 50 per game and allowing 16 in that span. Leads the MEC in scoring defense & offense. Tops 5 in the region in both as well.

But they beat Shepherd at home by 21 points when Shepherd had one loss (4-1) and was on a 4 game win streak. That was also the RAMS first regular season home loss since 2014. Third regular season home loss since 2010.

Both played Cal: ODU beat Cal 28-23 at ODU


ROCK beat Cal 44-21 at Cal

ROCK also beat a ranked opponent(IUP #12) on the road

Shepherd lost to the only good teams they played this year. Doesn't say much by beating them, and it wasn't the same Shepherd from the last 3 years so that means nothing.
