So this is something new. Franklin Pierce released their schedule, and they're playing Kentucky State Week 7 in the Caribbean HBCU College Football Puerto Rico Bowl, which, yes, is in Puerto Rico. I'm still relatively new to the D2 scene, so maybe this statement doesn't hold much weight coming from me, but I've never heard of something like this before.

This never ended up happening. The game was still played, but it was in Rindge instead of Puerto Rico. Still not sure what on earth the organizers were thinking when they set this up or how the logistics would've worked, but I guess the fact that it never made it to the Caribbean says a lot. Very weird

New Haven announces their schedule. No surprises, there’s the week 1 game against Slippery Rock and the get enough games in two-step with St. Anselm this year:

September 13, 2025 Bentley at Bryant. Would love to see more teams from our league schedule up vs. the CAA

Why? FCS game doesn't count for playoff standing. Just a chance to take a loss and get guys beat up early in the season.

Yeah it's gonna be the first time for New Haven to host a night game on a Thursday. I don't know what kind of policies or restrictions that they have to go by since it's a weekday's game. The last time they hosted a night game was a couple of years ago on a Friday night and the game have to be finished at a certain time. On a side note, the NE10 transfer portal is kinda insane with so many in it. I think about a third of Post players are in it and tons of Franklin Pierce and AIC players are in the portal. New Haven lost a few with one noticeable is the starting kicker in Josh Hamel. New Haven also making offers to a few players from the NE10 conference and also a few from the PSAC but nothing is signed yet.

Yeah i also noticed the transfer portal is insane right now. Franklin Pierce is loosing 2 of the top 3 WRs is crazy since they are one of the best passing teams in the conference. New Haven is also loosing a bunch and so is Bentley, I don't know if this is the result of loosing their head coach. I feel so bad for Post, AIC and FP for loosing the most in the portal. Assumption is loosing their starting QB and top WR. This is the first time I am seeing this many players are in the portal, it's crazy.

Hoping Chargers can get one of these out of conference wins for once.

Kind of surprised about Pierce having a bunch of transfers, it seems like they’re building something there. AIC still doesn’t have a permanent coach, and Post…I don’t know. The portal is driving coaches out of head coaching positions to either assistant positions or the pros (unless you’re Belichick). I’m all for empowering athletes, but there needs to be better rules in place. Playoff teams in D1 (like Penn State) are going to be down guys because of the portal.

So Hamel’s gone? Guess they need a kicker and a QB. How about some ex-4 star recruits like I heard Ferris got during the broadcast of their game last weekend?

You are correct, the last night game was indeed on a Thursday night. So yeah, Hamel is in the Portal unfortunately. However, Pincince has like a million other kickers on the roster 😆 🤣 😂.

Starting to look around for the leagues 2025 Schedules. I found that New Haven is hosting Slippery Rock on Sept 4 at 6pm. That should be fun! Please post your teams OOC if possible.

Maybe if we're lucky, most of the NE-10 schedules will be posted before May, though I'm not holding my breath. NE-10 schools are notorious for posting their schedules later compared to most schools in D2.
