Depends how many players St A lost after the decision to drop to D3 was made.

Did some research and St A. Lost a bunch of players however, there are some decided to stay with the program for their last D2 season. I believe AIC is an improved team, but that's on paper and let's see how they prove it on the field.

So what does it has to do with AIC additions on offense or the NE10 pre-season poll?

NE-10 is hanging on for deal life, I feel. I wouldn't ve surprised if D2 is gone or looks different in 5 years.... As for the rankings, who knows. From what I could tell SC did well recruiting and in the transfer portal, but you never really know there either. I am just hoping SC can get back to being competitive. It was such a great program...

Southern is still a great program, the problems are, atleast in recent years, first and foremost is the transfer portal, second is recruiting. Southern has to compete with teams like Central Conn, Sacred Heart, UConn in the state of Connecticut and even within the city of New Haven with UNH and somewhat Yale. Also, student support with not many fans at home games. Just my 2 cents.

I 100% agree about Dietz. Dietz should be the starter.

Dietz is a good player however, he has not compete well against better teams in the conference. It's not a bad idea for AIC to take a good look at other options they might have with another QB on the roster.

Yes. He is listed as an athlete on the roster and he is a great athlete. The QB they brought in isn’t bad either. I won’t be surprised to see Dietz lining up at WR or RB and Bryden (the new QB) as QB. I like Dietz as QB, but it’s not a bad idea also to use him as a Swiss Army knife. I miss the days when teams would release their two deep before a game.

Lol! I think you might be confused. He was NE10 ROTY IN 2024, and beat Assumption with a TD PASS with 12 seconds left. The same Assumption team that AIC hadn't beaten in over 10 years. He’s been more than adequate against any team they've played, period. Look up the stats.

They won, but looked mediocre with this perceived savior at QB. He had an INT and 2 fumbles (I think). He could have EASILY had 2 or 3 more INTs. In an even more ridiculous turn of events, Dietz played safety, and returned kicks and punts. THEIR LEADING RUSHER AND SCORER FROM LAST SEASON DID NOT PLAY ONE SNAP ON OFFENSE!!!
People need to be fired over this stupidity. What they did last year playing Williams over Dietz was laughable, but this is flat out criminal. This organization quite simply can't be taken seriously with its current leadership. No wonder why so many players left. Dietz should have 100% transferred. ANY NE10 team would snatch him up in a heartbeat. 🤷♂️

Yes, but that was ONE game AIC won against Assumption and Dietz was the starting QB for AIC, which Cephas Williams was not available due an injury during the St. Anselm game. Since then? AIC won a total 3 games, not counting this year's game vs Monroe, in which he was not a QB, RB or a WR and I'll get to his stats for this game later, and 2 of those games were against Post and 1 against Pace. Dietz was 15-25-176 and 1 TD when he was at QB, 26-134 with 4 TDs rushing and he was 4-24 receiving as WR during the 3 games that AIC won. Now the game vs Monroe Dietz was not doing much either where he was, basically a defensive player, where he made a total of 3 tackles, 2 solo. He also did returned 2 punts for 23.5 yards average and he returned 2 kickoffs for a 19 yards average. His stats are NOT that good at all period however, he has been good at certain games, but that was it. Daron Bryden had almost double the yardage in ONE game that AIC won vs Dietz's 3 games that he played in when AIC won.
