  • VULCANS vs St A Hawks

After 1st qtr CAL U up 17-3 but play has been sloppy. MITCHELL out of sync, N BROWN running OK, D LINE getting pressure and ST A has 3 TO Sort of a preseason scimmage.

As expected lopsided scrimmage. 45-6 at the half. Two TD passes for MITCHELL. One TD run for BROWN. On D, MCPHATTER 85 YD fumble return for a score. COX interception return for TD. Freshman PK KEATON HEIR 6-6 on XP but really no boom on KO. Pretty much everyone was right that this game could have been played against WAYNEBURG or W&J. Would have saved the $$$ and had a nice local flavor.

The thing most don't realize is it takes two to tango. Teams don't get in a hurry to play Cal-level programs in non-conference.

New QB in for CAL U is UNC-PEMBROKE transfer JOSH DALE who gets his first TD pass so 59-6 VULCANS.

That's true. I would hope that this is a home-and-home with Cal, because I don't see any other motivation for St. A to be willing to be a punching bag for a perennial PSAC powerhouse. St. Anselm would probably make Seton Hill look like Slippery Rock.
