Pick' Em - Week 5

Shepherd (-35.5) at LHU (Thursday)--I hate this point spread, but LHU has been bad.

Edinboro at Gannon--This is a coin flip for me. Going with home team.

Seton Hill at Clarion (-7.5)--ALF Weekend, Clarion gets on track.

Slippery Rock (-21.5) at Mercyhurst--I'm done picking against The ROCK with large point spreads, although Hurst is a tough place to play with a 12 N start.

Millersville (+31.5) at ESU--Let's see if ESU keeps it rolling.

WCU (-21.5) at Shippensburg--Ship got one in the win column last week, and at home, going with them to cover.

Kutztown at Bloomsburg (+28.5) I really hate this point spread, but Kutz keeps rolling.

Pitt at Duke--one week up, one week down and almost lose to a FCS team (and not a good one at that). This is an up week...I think.

I don't normally toot my own horn, but:

Boro will be disappointed to lose by as much as they did against ESU. I think they play Cal tough at home, lose by 17.

Not often I get a margin exactly right. Hopefully I didn't blow all of my luck on a meaningless aside.


Shepherd (-35.5) at LHU - I still think Shepherd is better than ESU. Bad news for Eagles.
Edinboro at Gannon - The middle of the PSAC West is going to be a mess this year. Going with the home team.
Seton Hill at Clarion (-7.5) - I think the risk of an upset here is bigger than most are thinking.
Slippery Rock (-21.5) at Mercyhurst - The question is how long Hurst can keep it close. Just feels like a risk worth taking.
Millersville (+31.5) at ESU - In Jimmy I trust.
WCU (-21.5) at Shippensburg - Rams' first two wins look a little better now.
Kutztown at Bloomsburg (+28.5) - Kutztown is better than any team Bloom has played yet, by far. Bad news.
Pitt at Duke - Real coin flip of a game. Home team.

WEEK 5

Shepherd (-35.5) at LHU (Thursday): Rams demolish the Bald Eagles 54-12

Edinboro at Gannon: Knights in a tight one in Erie 34-27

Seton Hill at Clarion (-7.5): Eagles have been brought back down to reality but find a way to cover the spread 44-20

Slippery Rock (-21.5) at Mercyhurst: Rock knows they need to win at least 9 to guarantee a playoff berth and put the pedal to the floor running over Mercyhurst 54-21

Millersville (+31.5) at ESU: ESU is by far the better team, will score 40 points but only win 40-10 thus letting Ville cover the spread lol.

WCU (-21.5) at Shippensburg: Ship's defense tightened up last week and look to continue the trend against the Rams, they lose but keep it respectable with WCU stealing a 28-14 win

Kutztown at Bloomsburg (+28.5): Huskies had a poor offensive showing against Ship and face a dangerous KU team, they will cover the spread but lose 34-14

Pitt at Duke: Duke even without Daniel Jones is pretty formidable while Pitt barely survived against FCS Delaware. Blue Devils 34-27
