One of the stand up coaches we have in the PSAC always respected coach Zwaan for how he ran the progam and how much his players and former players love and respect him. The harsh reality is cities like Chester, Philadelphia and Coatesville while they produce great athletes those same kids have to dodge bullets, witness their friends/loved ones die due to gun violence and the only way they can really protect themselves is to do well enough in school and on the field/court to get a scholarship to a school away from home. The downside to that is they get homesick a lot of times and also have to hear on social media or through text the daily violence and crime back home with their loved ones still in the war zone.
