Regarding Davis---I think the only time that I saw him play in person was in an August scrimmage his frosh year. He ran the second team and didn't look all that bad. He seemed to have a penchant for the big downfield play. But like IUPBigIndians says if the coaches have not already handed him the keys to the IUP offense by now it may be telling.

I just think that there has been an overall change of philosophy regarding the IUP QB position. Maybe Lennys' tough outing against West Florida in the semis coupled with an uncharacteristic off senior season played a big part in this ideological shift.

I agree, I saw Lenny play at Shepherd i think his freshman year in the playoffs. He's electric when he's on the move, but if a game plan takes away the first read and has the speed at the 2nd level to keep him moderately in check, the drives will stall out eventually. I didn't watch obviously as closely as some of you did throughout his career after that, but after that knee injury he had I didn't think he was the same player anymore.

I know you can point to a good collegiate overall record as a indication of his success, but IUP had good talent across the board throughout his tenure, one could argue if they had more consistent/steady play at QB they may have been able to have even more success. Not neccesarily beat WF that year, but certainly not miss the playoffs in other years and possibly win the region in a string of seasons. Lenny just never progressed from his freshman year IMO, he was the same player throughout, but more cautious because of the injury.

Any QB can get injured on any play, but, I agree the 'Lenny types' certainly seem to get injured more often. I remember the exact play he got hurt. It wasn't even a scramble.

Post-injury was a very different Lenny in style of play. They tried to really scale back his running. That put a lot more emphasis on all those bubble screens and short passes. They worked fine against most all season but stronger teams could stop them.

Overall, he had a brilliant career ... likely headed to the IUP HOF.

Yea, I still remember that play in slow motion. He was doing that move to avoid a sack like a wrestler does to counter a double leg take down shot and his spikes got caught up in the turf. When the strategy changed to take away Lenny's legs, it inadvertently took away a major part of his game. couldn't say any more "what ya gonna do when Lenny runs wild on youuuuuuuu!!!".

Mos likely. But in all seriousness: Yesterday, I was at the otolaryngologist who fixed my sinuses and brought relief from the vertigo, loss of balance, and foggyness from an inner ear disease called Meniere's so I trust her opinion and advice without question. We got to talking about the Cov-19. She is in daily contact with Doctors around the world and she said this pandemic is the real deal. She said that Italy is in bad shape because they did not take the out break seriously and that many people over 80 in Italy will die from the virus. She said to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate, wash your hands frequently with soap, avoid crowds, and keep a distance from others when out - the things we have been hearing on the news over the past two weeks. She also told me to get a box of zinc lozenges or wafers and take one a day as they weaken viruses. She said there is no such thing as being overly cautious because the cov-19 is highly contagious. She gave me a star burst and patted my head and before sending me on my way reminded me to take this pandemic seriously and use common sense and caution to protect myself. We should all do the same.

I know I'll never forget that run he made at Seton Hill in his frosh year. That was unbelievable. That was video game stuff there. He was a joy to watch.

Yup, slam dunk IUP Hall of Famer!

That's probably some excellent advice from a medical professional who should know more than the average IUP Angry Mobber. Also a very good Ward Cleaver lecture! LOL.

                  Hope you're feeling well!

You crack me up - Ward Clever lecture. She's the best, Dr. Arora Azadamarki. I'm feeling pretty good, finally after 3 weeks. Worked today for the 1st time in 3 weeks, albeit at home until I can figure out away to minimize exposure at the gym. I'm thinking, I can probably use bands and do a lot of HITT body weight. I'm real leary about using the matts and the exercise machines are going to have to be wiped down real good by me before I hop on them. An old wash rag and some soapy water in a spray bottle should do the trick. I already had the flu three weeks ago and it sucked, I don't want to get it again. Besides, the WVDNR Is stocking the trout waters at full speed and Gold Rush (where they stock nothing but golden trout) is coming up, can't miss that do to illness.

I think to cap off the Ward Cleaver lecture you need to finish with "And I hope this has taught you a valuable lesson."

                            1. Definetly stay out of the gym. Don't even consider going there!

                            2. Give yourself some more time to heal up and rest up.

                            3. Maybe hold off on the stream fishing until it warms up a bit more. People are known to fall into icy creeks. LOL.

Good advice Although I may poke my head in the gym just to see what's going on. The trainer is not allowed to give group classes anymore. The Gov, is shutting down casinos, bars, and restaurants. You'll here me scream all the way in PA if the shut down the trout stockings.

Considering the gravity of what's going on, it's amazing they waited that long to do that. They were the last PASSHE school to extend spring break or move to online classes a week ago. I'm not sure who makes those decisions, but they always seem "late to the party" when it comes to stuff like this. I understand thinking rationally and not overreacting, but I never understood it. There were times in college that I can recall IUP being one of the only universities west of Harrisburg that remained open due to winter weather.
