  • CAL U VULCANS 2020....

Seven months to game 1. Last year the VULCANS should have been at least 9-2. Four close games, four losses. There are a lot of possible explanations but ultimately the responsibility usually rests with the HC and QB. Both GARY DUNN and NOAH MITCHELL were less than impressive in their second year together. GD had a full season of experience with a young QB and wasn't able to get any more out of his OFFENSE than he had done the year before. NM had a year in the system and produced almost the exact same numbers he had as a Freshman. By the end of the year, IMO, the time had come for a change at QB. JOSH DALE seemed like someone more likely to spark the team. Didn't happen and probably won't happen this year. Unless the HC and QB can get the offense back to something much more potent, wins may be hard to come by based on the significant losses on the DEFENSE.
This year's incoming class looks plentiful but not noticeably talented.

Six of that list are LB and ten are DB out of a total of 37. Hopefully they are quick learners.

The OOC game is the season/home opener against St. Anselm (per St. A website).

So less than 9-2 will be less than satisfactory....if they play
