    I agree with most of your comment -- especially in the bus leagues of D2 and D3. At the truly elite levels of D1, however, I firmly believe many have the same thoughts as Cardale Jones had during his time in Columbus.


    BTW, in an ironic twist, Cardale did go on to graduate from Ohio State several years after his famous quote.

      Well, cant there be more than one developmental tool for the NFL?!

      I could see where the XFL could be implemented to further develop first year players, fringe players, or those who are on the bubble of making an NFL roster. I think that a lot of folks said that NFL Europe was good at accomplishing that very thing.

      But certainly the college ranks will always be the feeder system for the NFL draft and the rookie FA crop. The XFL will not change that at all.
