Bobby Petrino had an affair with a football staffer at Arkansas but I don’t recall hearing anything about Harsin having an affair. Most of the allegations/rumors about Harsin were about player and staff mistreatment driving guys away and laziness on the recruiting trail. I don’t think the investigation/inquiry that Auburn did has been made public yet.Originally posted by Chuck Norris View Post
Didn’t he allegedly have an extra marital affair while at Auburn or am I thinking of someone else?Last edited by TheBigCat2192; 10-19-2024, 08:32 AM. Reason: Corrected the spelling of Harsin’s last name. Stupid auto-correct.“No matter how badly things get blown apart, we will always plant flowers again.”

Boise State has a couple of tricky games left, but certainly has looked like the top G5 team so far.Originally posted by Chuck Norris View PostLiberty got knocked off by previously winless FBS newcomer Kennesaw State last night. That puts us one step closer to the G5 playoff spot coming down to Army and Navy. Navy can obviously make a huge statement on Saturday against Notre Dame.

The story was that there was an administrative assistant who worked for Harsin in the football office, or somewhere else in the Boise State athletic department, that followed Harsin to Auburn. When things were going south, somebody who was a fake insider started that rumor and it took off online. There were never any actual legs to the story; no evidence; nothing. Auburn launched a very publicized internal investigation into Harsin and the accusation and they found nothing.
That story honestly displays how powerful the online world can be at times - and how unjust it is too. Just throw something out there about somebody you don't like and the story will get legs and can be used to ruin somebody's life. It's equally sad and scary.
His tenure was rocky at Auburn, but the administration and fan base did him no favors either. He was a good hire on paper. I would go as far as saying he was a great hire. I think people forget that he was named the head coach in waiting at Boise State behind Chris Peterson. He was widely considered one of the rising stars in the coaching profession. I think it's odd that he isn't coaching again, but I've found some articles that also suggest he may not be as interested in immediately returning to the sidelines after that mess he experienced at Auburn either.

Yeah once I posted that I started looking into it because I was pretty certain what I had heard was about him. I believe he and his wife returned to Boise and like you said, he’s just chilling for now because of that experience. I can’t blam him. That’s insane, but very easy to see how it could happen with social media.Originally posted by IUP24 View Post

Tomorrow night they’re at UNLV in a massive game. If Army or Navy don’t get in I’d certainly love to see what Ashton Jeanty can do in that environment. He already tore up Oregon when Boise nearly upset them earlier in the season.Originally posted by Ship69 View Post

Really surprised this was kept under wraps from the summer until now:

Yeah, our local TV stations cover Penn State ad nauseum, but they haven't seemed to have much to say about this.Originally posted by Fightingscot82 View PostReally surprised this was kept under wraps from the summer until now:

Those who rape minors are very popular in prison. I hope they enjoy their stay. Payback time is coming.Originally posted by Fightingscot82 View Post
