  • Curt is getting pushed around by The Overrated State University.

    • Lehigh is going to beat Lafayette in L-L 160 (the most played rivalry in college football) and win the Patriot League title and DI-AA/FCS autobid. Much like Lafayette in 2023, this year Lehigh enjoyed a major turnaround, going from 2-9 a year ago to 8-3.

      • Curt gets a garbage late TD to make it look not so bad but it wasn’t good.

True but OSU should have really scored that TD on the long run but the runner chose to down the ball before going into the endzone. Curt was competitive through 2.5 quarters. Result isn't surprising.

IU’s top RB and defense came to play, at least for the most part. I think their D got a bit overwhelmed by all the plays they faced and the short fields from all the punts but they showed fight early. Their QB and WRs, on the other hand. might as well have run to the locker room after their first drive. When’s the last time you saw a QB flop that badly in a top-5 showdown?

              • Hard to believe Pitt was 7-0 at one point. Things really unraveled, sadly.

Drove straight off a cliff. Awful performance.

Well, maybe so, but Alabama, Ole Miss, Texas A & M, Brigham Young, and Coach Prime, among others, didn't exactly cover themselves with glory, either. Milroe is still runnning from the Oklahoma pass rush.

You know what is funny?. If Meatchicken upsets The Overrated State University and The Centre county Community College takes care of bidness against Maryland..the Nits make the BIG title game.

That would be a mess. And with Ohio State missing a couple of guys on their o-line, it's not impossible.

Reality is this was probably always a 7-8 win team. It didn't feel like it when they were 7-0, but such is life. Losing to Virginia stinks when you look at their season. But let's be honest here, in their losses to SMU, Clemson, and Louisville they were more than a touchdown underdog in each of them per the betting odds (and I've been told that matters). So those in the know never believed they would win those football games. Do you want to be competitive more than you were against SMU and Louisville? Yeah, for sure. But they weren't. Oh well. They ran into a buzzsaw against SMU (it happens). And they lost their QB on the 2nd drive against Louisville and the team packed it in.

What a lot of people forget is this team was 3-9 last year. They purged a lot in the offseason from that team, but they still have a lot of 3-9 players on their football team.

I think it's worth noting that they have lost 4 of their 5 starting offensive linemen. When they were winning football games, they were running the ball decent enough and Holstein had time to throw because their OL was healthy. Teams are easily generating pressure with 4 guys now. That's no recipe to be successful.

The defense is still very young, and they have some good young players. Guys like Fitzsimmons, Biles, and Louis are all really talented players.

I hope they can win next week to finish 8-4. If you do that, it's a really nice year after going 3-9 last season.

The B-Team is all over the offensive coordinator. They are stating Pitt's offense has become extremely predictable and opponents have caught on.

I don't watch them much so I don't know. But, I had to listen to them rant about it this morning.

Curt Cignetti said "Ohio State sucks" to a sold out Assembly Hall at an event on campus earlier this year. I'm pretty sure that sound bite was on a loop in the Woody Hayes football facility all week.

Curt's in the open water now. He hit on 40+ transfers (about 15 of them being his guys from JMU) and had the easiest P4 schedule in the country. Regardless of what Mark Cuban wants to say, both of those things aren't going to happen again.

For a while, I thought the story was cool and fun. But I'll be honest, the more I saw him saying making non-humorous jokes at the podium after beating up on any of the 7 worst teams in the B1G, the more I hoped they would get humbled on their trip to Columbus. As far as I'm concerned, he no longer coaches at IUP, and at that level, he doesn't coach for the team I support. It was a cool story a minute, I'll give him that.
