PIAA Basketball: March 27-29 from noon until 10pm each dayOriginally posted by IUPNation View Post
It doesn’t take long to switch over from basketball to hockey..there have been Sixers and Flyers games played on the same day.
NCAA Hockey: March 27-30 (game days on the 28th and 30th) - Thursday practice sessions for all four teams from 11am to 5pm; Friday practices in the morning and games in the afternoon; Saturday practices from 1pm-4pm
It's not like you can stagger these two events at the same arena, so there's no way the NCAA could've hosted the first two rounds of the tournament at Hershey.Cal U (Pa.) Class of 2014

The Indiana High School basketball state championships were scheduled at the Pacers arena. The Regional Semifinal and Finals in Indy were played at Lucas Oil Stadium, but were also originally planned for the Pacers venue. Not that the NCAA hasn't used football stadiums before, but the manner in which the NCAA seemed ill-prepared and caught off guard because of the scheduling issue was major news. They made it work, but they utilized half of the stadium and it looked odd. I didn't see major complaints about sightlines though.Originally posted by ctrabs74 View Post
What scheduling debacle in Indianapolis? I haven't paid to much attention to the tournament, if that's what you were alluding to.
I legitimately thought that's what you were referencing.

Easy fix, Penn State offers the Bryce Jordan Center for the PIAA playoffs this year at a steep discount. The kids would probably prefer playing there anyway.Originally posted by ctrabs74 View Post

Yep, love it as well. These P4 teams are loaded with depth of talent so the drop isn’t going to be far from QB1 to QB2, or a lot of other positions for that matter.Originally posted by IUP24 View PostGood on Josh Huepel and Tennessee. Somebody needed to eventually put their foot down.

Most of these programs are too in bed with the devil to do this, but it would be something if we got to a point where ADs, boosters, head coaches, etc., started colluding to NOT give these guys what they are after when they pull stunts like this.Originally posted by EyeoftheHawk View Post

That happens in all the other pro leagues for one reason or another. And for better or worse, these guys now are professionals.
Nico is not going to land in a better situation. And being in a good situation increases your likelihood of actually making a living playing football at the next level. Say he was advised poorly all you want. One guy made the final decision to skip meetings, skip practice, etc. And that guy is the one who got booted from his team.

One other note… As the House settlement is getting finalized and codified, many of these guys think (and probably know) they are going to be unable to cash in for bogus NIL deals moving forward. The money is soon going to be less, or more restrictive in how it’s allocated. So I think there may be one or two more of these situations prior to the month ending.Originally posted by EyeoftheHawk View Post

I have to imagine this is happening continually behind the scenes and this one just happened to get the media attention given the popularity of the programs and player involved. A big name getting outed might make others think twice about how aggressive they get.Originally posted by IUP24 View Post
