Penn State gets a lot of deserved pounding for the Sandusky incident, although that's getting pretty far into the past at this point, but many of these other programs certainly aren't bedrocks of great behavior. Good ol' Michigan State, whose gymnastics doctor scandal was probably even worse than Sandusky if you look at it objectively, just got more than $400 million in athletic donations. Guess it was a reward for their outstanding ethics.

If he was fired effective immediately, the "credible evidence" must have shown that he:

a) had a relationship with someone who is within his reporting line, or

b) was with a student, or

c) was with the partner of a coworker that would have compromised his ability to do his job (such as partner of his supervisor), or

d) was using university resources to consensually send inappropriate content to somebody, or

e) he has a morality clause and the inappropriate relationship was high profile enough such as with a donor or community leader
