There are some high quality fighters at heavyweight, but literally all of them are foreign so no one in America knows who they are. Tyson Fury moved the needle briefly but I think he’s basically retired. Last night was the most exposure the heavyweight division received in this country in some time and I agree, it will not help the division’s perception to American fans.

The interesting thing with Paul is he moves the needle. Nobody watches boxing -- except when he fights.

The boxing world loves him and hates him.

His fight night cards are generally pretty good (the undercard). He's made some of the female boxers serious stars.

Amazingly, nobody gets the ratings and viewership Paul does aside from the once-every-decade mega fight when stars will (rarely) actually agree to fight one another.

Like Paul or not he sells out major arenas. His Netflix viewership is insane.

I don't think last night hurts his brand. Of course he was going to lose. He'll never fight up in that size ever again (unless it's another has-been). Nor should he.

He's the ultimate, modern-day WWE heel.

They think he had over 50 million watch last night. He had over 60 million for the Tyson charade.

Those are serious numbers. The average CFP game last year did less than 20 million.

I think his next fight should be the Fury rematch. It would still draw insane.

Paul's audience isn't people our age. He's a mega star to the youth. Flashing Logan around surely helps.

      Those two are serious businessmen.

It’ll be interesting to see if the casual/curious viewer will continue to tune in to these bad fights. Of course his camp and his fans will eat up the fact that he went nearly six full rounds with a former heavyweight champion. They were smart about it. Joshua is pretty slow and plodding. It was a big ring giving Paul lots of room to run.

A lot of the casual appeal of his fights is wanting to see him lose, or more specifically, get knocked out. Well, we’ve seen it, and it wasn’t particularly spectacular or satisfying. We know he’s no threat to heavyweights, he doesn’t have that kind of power. His cardio is lacking. He’s not incompetent in the ring, but he’s a long way from challenging a legit fighter at any weight. Compelling opponents will start to run out.

Netflix is a saving grace. The fights not costing anything additional to a subscription makes it easy to tune in just for the heck of it. He does probably have enough of a fanbase to keep the numbers decent.

A&M played two FCS games this year. Shouldn't have been in.

                        Said nobody. Good Lord.

As Nick Saban said, this is what you get for putting the AA champs into the MLB playoffs.

That was Ole Miss without half its staff.

Ole Miss had a glorified walk-thru yesterday so the Rebs will be fresh.

Perfect spot for them. They had a free game yesterday to work out the kinks.

It's a long layoff for those with the byes. Many teams don't respond well to that much time off.

I've been to a game at Kyle Field.

From a craziness standpoint, it may be the top dog. Pure insanity there. I've never seen a more drunk crowd.
