The College Sports Commission released an update on NIL deals submitted through the "NIL Go" platform that is supposed to check all NIL deals for legitimacy. Since the program went live:
17,845 deals have been submitted - 524 were not cleared vs 17,321 cleared (2.9% denial rate)
~$142.15M has been submitted - $14.94M was not cleared vs $127.21M cleared (10.5% cash denied)
10,848 unique players have had at least one deal clear with 44% of that coming from sports other than football or men's basketball.
I find the huge difference in percentage of deals declined vs. money declined very interesting. I'm also curious how many of those denied deals and what portion of the denied money was for football and men's basketball players.
